Inspire by Fighting Monkey – open workshop Prague, January 2020
3.12.2019
We invite all enthusiasts and people interested in movement, health and harmonious physical development – dancers, artists, athletes, physiotherapists, coaches and others – to an open workshop which is the gateway to the world-successful educational method “Fighting Monkey”.
Create your reserve of vital energy, move with ease, look at obstacles as opportunities, slow down your aging process.
What is Fighting Monkey
Fighting Monkey is an applied practice for human development through movement.
Fighting Monkey practice treats each and every person as unique universe interconnected with the environment and within its own structure.
The fundamental areas of FM practice concern:
- The development of Elastic Body with Plastic Brain through unorthodox games that aim to provoke creativity and ingenuity.
- The development of Coordination and Rhythm in the whole body and their crucial role both in the small (cellular level) and in the big scale (relations, habits and goals) of the human life.
- The process of ageing and the ways we can preserve the health of our joints and of the whole musculoskeletal system so that we enhance and sustain our mobility through time.
- The development of communication within ourselves as well as with our social and physical environment with aim to refine our learning strategies and to create stories which will inspire and feed our vigour for life.

Date of event
Saturday & Sunday January 25 & 26, 2020
Schedule
Daily from 10:00 to 17:00 with the lunch break
Who is the workshop for
All of you interested in deepening understanding of your own organism and continuous work on your development. Regardless of your age and current capabilities.
We welcome all people who want to discover, explore and enjoy looking and finding solutions for the challenges they face that are better than good.
Professionals dealing with human movement – pedagogues, dancers, artists, physiotherapists, coaches …

What can you expect?
We will help you to understand the underlying principles of human motion and how stress and pressure affects our perception, behaviour and actions and how creatively adaptive you are in complex situations.
We will be pushing you to think for yourselves and pass through the difficulties with grace so that you don’t have to wait for someone else to tell you what to do.
We will challenge your speed, memory, ability to cooperate, coordinate and make decisions when everything goes wrong.
What you can’t expect?
We do not teach mechanical, static workouts neither prescribed protocols. Drills are good for machines, not for humans. We are alive and we need variability for life.
What you get?
We will provide you with guidelines on how to increase the health of your spine, your joints and connective tissue in various contexts and how you can become more versatile in your approach to joint preparation and warmups prior to training and competition.
