Contemporary Dance workshops with Jarek Cemerek

After the successful mini-workshop in December, we are now bringing you a series of additional Friday workshops with Jarek Cemerek in the favourite one-lesson workshop compact format. We have arranged it with regard to Jarek’s availability and believe that you will enjoy the lessons with this renowned and congenial teacher when you’re Contemporary Dance fans.
The workshop dates
January 10, 17, 24 and 31 & February 21, 2020 – on Fridays
Friday, March 20, 2020 - the last of the spring workshops.

One ninety-minute lesson on each given day

From 8pm to 9,30pm every Friday
Who is the workshop for?
The lessons are intended for all those interested in Contemporary dance regardless of age. A basic knowledge of style and orientation in its techniques (floorwork etc.) is expected.


What can you expect?
The lessons will start with a smooth warm-up and preparation of the body and mind, then we will go on to floorwork, standing and space work.
What you get
You will improve your fitness, speed, agility, coordination, movement memory, mobility and deepen your knowledge of the dance style you love with an internationally recognized teacher. Already in the first December lesson you had the opportunity to recognize that Jarek Cemerek is an excellent teacher and a great personality among our teachers. We are glad that our studio can collaborate with him.
About the teacher
Jarek Cemerek is a renowned choreographer, teacher and dancer, literally operating all over the world. He studied classical dance at the Conservatory in Ostrava, earned a bachelor's degree in choreography and a master's degree in dance pedagogy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and a degree in dance at the Theatre Academy in Helsinki.
As a teacher, he has worked with many dance schools and institutions such as The Juilliard School, National Conservatory of Musique et de Danse in Paris and Lyon, New Zealand School of Dance, Korea National University of Arts, Dance School of Shangai Theatre Academy, Steps on Broadway, New York, Palucca Schule Dresden (Germany), Balettakademien Gothenburg (Sweden), Hartt University, USA, Royal Ballet School in Holstebro (Denmark) and many others. What to wear
We recommend comfortable clothing – preferably long trousers, long sleeve T-shirt, barefoot or appropriate indoor shoes.

purchase of more lessons: for a better price, please use our prepaid Dance Card – 5 lessons CZK 1,250, 10 lessons CZK 2,250, 20 lessons CZK 4,300. The prepaid card can also be used for other Contemporary Dance and Ballet lessons (see studio timetable – Tuesday and Friday lessons marked in orange ) . |
