Education

She studied history at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts - Institute of Economic and Social History, Mgr degree.

She received her basic dance education from Nina Křížová's Music School, Lenka Ottová's Domino Dance Company and by Jan Kodet.

She completed two semesters of dance pedagogy at Academy of Performing Arts Prague.

Practicing and studying yoga and massage have an impact on her understanding of body and movement. Helena is:
Masseur for sports and reconditioning massages - Dexter Academy, 2009.
Professional Thai Massage for Health, The Chetawan Thai Traditional Massage School, Bangkok, Thailand, 2013 etc.

Professional practice

She is continuously working on dance-theatre projects and workshops of contemporary dance, improvisation and physical theatre.

In this sense, she was influenced by David Zambrano, Lloyd Newsonen, Hannes Langolf, Lalli Farro, Jozef Frucek and Linda Kapetanea, Wim Vandekeybus, Peter Jašek, Frey Faust and Ivan Wolf.

She currently performs in VerTeDance: Let's Dance directed by Petra Tejnorová, Korekce and Flow directed by Jiří Havelka.

She dances in the National Theater in Prague in the performance Fragility, your name is a woman directed by Daniel Špinar and choreographed by Nataša Novotná.

In the field of contemporary dance theater she has worked with VerTeDance, CieLaroque/ Helene Weinzierl, DOT504, Pulsar/Michal Zahora, 420People, Jarek Cemerk, Yuri Korec, Thomas Steyaert, DaMOTUS, Willi Dorner, Daniel Conrad, Crystal Pite, I M M Popovic, Jan Kodet etc.

She participated in The London Olympics 2012 Opening Ceremony in the choreography of Akram Khan.

She has performed at many dance- and theatre festivals in the Czech Republic, Europe, Asia and Africa.

She leads contemporary dance lessons and workshops, improvisation and contact improvisation:

Attack Theater (USA), Stayce Pearl Dance Projects (USA), Point Park University - guest lecturer in Maree Remalia (USA), Musical- and Theatre Academy of Performing Arts, Alta-Altart Studio, Prague Chamber Ballet, Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava, Jan Bella Conservatory in Banská Bystrica, Check Point Art - project of continuing education for elementary school teachers, ProArt Festival, Credance, DANCE PERFECT Studio, Contemporary, Studio H, Elledans, DOT504 workshops in Prague, Poland, CieLaroque workshops in Lithuania and Austria.

Awards

At the Czech Dance Platform, she was awarded the Dancer of the Year 2017 (performance Vertedance/Flow) and 2008 (DOT504/Holdin Fast), in 2000 she received the Interpretation Prize (Jan Kodet/Gates). In 2008 she was nominated for the Thalia Award (DOT504/Holdin Fast). In 2004 The Best Solo performance at the Masdanza Festival with CieLaroque/Helene Weinzierl - Comida para dos/Duo para ella.
